Heard this song recently and loved it. Really great stuff. Common hasn't moved me with a track like this in a loong time, at least since "The People" on Finding Forever. Better yet, the video adds a powerful dimension with emotionally-charged visuals from Hype Williams. (NOTE: I'm the type of person that's nervous to watch music videos for songs that I like, for fear that the video will ruin the song for me... this video impressed the hell out of me.)
Speaking of Common, I've pretty much been listening to Like Water for Chocolate on repeat since watching the Dave Chappelle interview on Jimmy Fallon. Dave tells a hilarious story about hanging out with pre-fame Kanye when Jay-Z's Black Album dropped. His descriptions of Talib and Common's reactions to their respective "Moment of Clarity" shout-outs are too good.
Great to see Chappelle getting back in the public eye! I've had the pleasure of seeing Dave live a few times -- once while Chappelle Show was still on the air, and a couple of times after the show was cancelled. After the Comedy Central fall-out, Dave was never quite the same in his stand-up... still hilarious, but less goofy and more bitter.
